The Aztec Alumni Lacrosse Foundation
The Aztec Alumni Lacrosse Foundation was established on July 1, 2007. The organization is a 501 C 3 non-profit and is dedicated to providing financial support, career mentoring, and acting as the communication hub for Alumni, Parents, Players, and Fans of the San Diego State Men's Lacrosse Team. AALF will provide centralized accounting of all donated funds. Team Officers (SDSU Players) and the AALF Board shall preside over all decisions regarding the team. The AALF shall not have any control over how the team spends its general funds, but act in a supportive/guidance role. www.azteclax.org
AALF Membership is open to all who wish to support the team and is automatic for Parents/Alumni who have made annual donations to the general fund and current players in good standing. Go directly to the AALF web site for more membership information.
The AALF Board consists of San Diego based Alumni who have volunteered their time to assist the team. The Board can include member parents, players, coaches, and alumni as long as they live in San Diego County. Not to purposely exclude anyone else, but it would be very difficult to run an organization professionally without in person access to the key members. Players are encouraged to become involved with the organization as Committee Chairs. Not only is this a great resume item, it can help to strengthen your ability to lead/work with small groups. Scouting & Game Filming
PGPM (Post-Game Parent Meals)
Webmaster Assistant
The AALF receives General Fund Donations that may be tax deductible for the donor. The AALF or San Diego State Men's Lacrosse Club does NOT provide advice as to the deductibility of any donation. Individual donors are advised to consult a tax professional with any questions. The AALF does provide ddonors with the necessary acknowledgement of all General Donations received, including a tax-ID number.
